The
New Smart Detection Technology found on all 2008 Digital TrailMAC's
essentially matches the zone of detection to the viewing angle of
the digital camera. Since the digital camera employs a wide
angle lens, it covers allot of ground (Click Photo to the Left)!
Shutter times of the camera
is around 0.5 - 1.0 seconds - No special setup required and
speed is maintained in any climate!!
Essentially, set up at 15-20
feet from the desired trail or deer crossing, an animal moving at a
normal pace is in the Detect Zone for 4 - 5 Seconds (Approximately 2
- 2.5 seconds either side of center of the photo. The digital
camera takes 3-seconds, to power-up, charge the flash, and shutter a
photo. The motion sensor turns on the camera immediately upon
first motion detect. Therefore the perceived shutter time of
the camera is around 0.5 - 1.0 seconds. No special setup or
camera programming. In addition, it will ALWAYS be this fast -
even in below zero temperatures!
See Animation!
If an animal stops right at the
edge of Smart Detect, its still within the viewing angle of the
camera so you still get your deer! |
